Hold down the lock lever on the right and pull th e toner cartridge
out of the drum unit.
Caution
Handle the toner cartrid ge carefully. If toner scatte rs on your hands
or clothes, immediately wipe it off or wash it with cold water.

Unpack the new toner cart ridge. Place the used toner cart ridge
into the aluminum bag and di scard it according to local
regulations.
Caution
■Wait to unpack the toner ca rtridge until immediately befo re you
install it in the MFC. If a toner cartridge is left unpacked for a lon g
period of time, the tone r life is shortened.
■Brother strongly recomme nds that you do not refill the t oner
cartridge provided with your MFC. We also strongly recommend
that you continue to use only Genuine Brother Brand
replacement toner cartr idges (TN-540 and TN-570). Using or
attempting to use poten tially incompatible toner and/ or toner
cartridges in your MFC may cause damage to the machine itself
and/or it may result in unsatisfactory print quality. Our warranty
coverage does not apply to any problem that was caus ed by the
use of unauthorized thir d party toner and toner cartridge s. To
protect your investment and guarantee your print quality please
continue to replace co nsumed toner cartrid ges with only Genuin e
Brother Branded Supplie s.
