We are pleased to have you as a Bush Hog cus- tomer. Your Front End Loader has been carefully designed to give maximum service with minimum down time. This manual is provided to give you the necessary operating and maintenance instructions for keeping your front end loader in top operating condition. Please read this manual thoroughly. Understand what each control is for and how to use it. Observe all safety precautions decaled on the machine and noted throughout the manual for safe operation of implement. If any assistance or addi- tional information is needed, contact your authorized Bush Hog dealer.

The Models 2427 and 3227 Front End Loaders are designed for two wheel drive tractors. The Models 2447 and 2847 Front End Loaders are designed for two wheel and four wheel drive tractors. They come equipped with parking stands to support the loader so the tractor can be “driven in” for quick attachment and a bucket level indicator that allows operator to gauge bucket position when the bucket cannot be seen. Available attachments include buckets for lift- ing loose materials; a bale spear for lifting round hay bales; and a fork lift for palletized material. All opera- tions should be conducted within the loader limits specified in Table 1-1.

IMPORTANT

This manual covers four different models of front end loaders. There will be minor differences in configuration and appearance of some components. However, the basic assembly and operation of the different models will be the same. All references made to right, left, front, rear, top or bottom is as viewed facing the direction of travel with implement properly attached to tractor.

This rotary cutter incorporates a floating top link, allowing for better contour following, ensuring an even cut over undulated terrain. The 3227 is also equipped with heavy-duty blades that enhance cutting efficiency and durability, enabling it to handle a variety of vegetation types with ease.

The Bush Hog 2427 complements the series with a slightly smaller profile, featuring a cutting width of 60 inches. It targets users who need a reliable cutter for smaller jobs or tight spaces. The 2427 is engineered with a solid frame and a unique blade design that ensures optimal cutting performance while preserving the health of the landscape. It also includes a slip clutch or chain driveline option, providing additional protection against shocks from unexpected obstacles during operation.
