Un’interfaccia con sei tasti viene usata principalmente in modalità SETUP (Impostazione) per selezionare le funzioni e i parametri operativi. Come si vede in Fig. 2, questi tasti sono: UP (su), DOWN (giù), LEFT (sinistra), right (destra). Quattro di questi tasti possono anche effettuare una seconda funzione (operazioni veloci in modalità SETUP) oltre alla loro funzione principale: Il tasto DOWN (giù) può essere usato per impostare la fotocamera in modalità Foto (icona istantanea della fotocamera), e il tasto UP (su) può impostare la fotocamera in modalità video (icona filmato della fotocamera). Il tasto RIGHT (destra) serve anche come otturatore manuale (“SHOT”) della fotocamera e il tasto OK commuta la fotocamera sulla modalità Playback (“REPLAY”). Queste seconde funzioni sono indicate dalle icone o dal testo sopra il tasto come si vede in Fig. 2.
