Apres avoir terminé la dernière rotation, le compas est calibré et indiquera “0” degrés quand les jumelles seront pointées vers le Nord (nord magnétique), 180 degrés quand pointées vers le Sud, etc. Le tableau ci-dessous montre la plage des degrés correspondant à chacun des 8 segments dans un cercle à gauche de l’indication digitale, qui représentent les caps compas usuels. Par exemple, quand le compas indique une valeur entre 338 et 22 degrés, le segment Nord “s’éteindra” (deviendra transparent) indiquant que les jumelles sont pointées en direction du nord.
