4.SYMPTOM: THE WALKING BELT SLOWS WHEN WALKED ON

a. Use only a ULdisted surge protector, rated at 15 arnp8, with a 14-gauge cord of five feet or less in length.

b.If the walking belt is o_,edlghtened, treadmill performance may decrease and the walking belt may be perrnanenlty d_roaged. Remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. Using the allen wrench, turn both rear roller adjustment bolts counterclock- wise, 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is properly tightened, you should be able to lift each side of the walking belt 3 to 4 inches off the walking platform. The center Of the walking belt should just touch the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Plug in the power cord, insert the key and run the treadmilr for a few minute@. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened.

5.SYMPTOM: THE WALKING BELT IS OFF-CENTERWHEN WALKED ON

a. If the walking belt has shifted to the left, first remove the key and

UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. Using the allen wrench, turn the left rear roller adjustment bolt c]ockwise, and the dgth bolt coun- terclockwise, 1/4 of a turn each. Be carefur not to overtlghten the walking belt. Plug in the power cord, insert the key and run the treagroiil for a few roinutes. Repeat until the walking bait is cen- tered.

b. If the walking belt has shifted to the dght, first remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. Using the allen wrench, turn the left rear miler adjustroect bolt counterclockwise, and the right bolt clockwise, 1/4 of a turn each. Be careful not to over- tighten the walking belt, Plug in the power cord, insert the key

and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walkthg belt is centered.
