Frequently Asked Questions
My removable plate grill is not getting hot; what am I doing wrong? Be sure the power cord is plugged into a suitable outlet. See page 5 for electrical requirements. Then, check to make sure both the heat setting knob and the timer are set. The grill does not begin heating until you set the timer.
My burger patties are only getting grill marks on one side. Why? Check the adjustable grill height selector lever on your grill. If it is set too high, it may not be sandwiching your burger patties snugly enough to form grill marks on both sides. See page 12 for complete instructions on using the Adjustable Grill Height Selector.
When I grill frozen chicken breasts, they are brown on the outside and still pink inside. How can I make sure they are safely cooked? Be sure to thaw meats and poultry first before grilling. This will ensure that they are evenly cooked throughout.
Is it okay to grill a thick cut pork chop alongside a thinner pork chop? It is best to cook meat of the same thickness at the same time. So, either cook one chop and then the other. (Your removable plate grill cooks so quickly it won’t take long to do double duty.) Or, butterfly the thicker cut so it lays flatter and can cook evenly next to the thinner chop.
