Be sure the air filter is clean. A dirty air filter restricts air flow and can cause the motor to overheat.

CLEANING THE AIR FILTER

•If using latex (water-based) coatings, use mild soapy water to clean filter. Remove excess water with a soft cloth. Allow to dry flat before reinstalling filter.

•Replace filter if built-up with paint, or if using oil-based (sol- vent-based) coatings.

!WARNING

Do not attempt to clean with mineral spirits or other solvent.
