Recording Still Images on a Memory Card
You can record still images with the
camcorder, from a tape in the camcorder
(108) or from devices connected via the
DV terminal or AV terminal ( 109).
Do not turn off the camcorder, disconnect the power source or remove the
memory card while the card access display (<<< or >>>) in the upper right
corner of the screen or the card access indicator is flashing. Doing so could
result in data damage.
When you are using a SD Memory Card, make sure that the protect switch is
set to allow recording.
Make sure to insert a memory card with enough remaining capacity.

Recording with the Camcorder

In autofocus mode, the camcorder keeps focusing automatically. Furthermore, this
camcorder is equipped with the Focus-Priority mode for even more accurate focus. In
Focus-Priority mode, you can choose between three focusing points ( 106).
However, you can turn off the Focus-Priority mode if you wish to put timing ahead of
focusing ( 107).
When the program selector is set to [, the Focus-Priority mode is set to ON (only the
center focusing point available).
1. Set the camcorder to CARD CAMERA mode.
A white focusing frame appears in the center of the screen. The camcorder will focus on
the subject in the center of the screen. To change the focusing point, see Selecting a
Focusing Point(106).

2. Press the PHOTO button halfway.

Fand focusing frame turn green when focus is adjusted. The
beep sounds twice. The picture may appear out of focus for a
moment while the camcorder is focusing.
Exposure is locked.
Focus can be adjusted manually with the focus ring when the PHOTO button is pressed
halfway.
When you press the PHOTO button on the wireless controller, recording starts immediately.
