Protecting Images

Protect important images to prevent accidental erasure by the camera (p. 139).

zPress the mbutton, and then choose :in the menu (p. 37). [Protected] is displayed.

zTo cancel protection, repeat this process and choose : again, and then press the m button.

•Protected images on a memory card will be erased if you format the

card (pp. 160, 161).

• Protected images cannot be erased by the camera. To erase them, cancel protection settings first.

Using the Menu

Access the setting screen.

zPress the nbutton, and then choose [Protect] on the 1 tab (p. 38).

Choose a selection method.

zChoose a menu item and a setting as desired (p. 38).

zTo return to the menu screen, press the nbutton.
