You can shoot zoomed images using the combined digital and optical zooms.

!Stills: zoom up to approximately 16 times

!Movies (Standard): zoom up to approximately 16 times (PowerShot A540)

:zoom up to approximately 8.1 times (PowerShot A530)

The digital zoom cannot be used when the LCD monitor is turned off.

!The combined digital and optical zoom setting will display in the LCD monitor.

!An image will appear coarser the more it is digitally zoomed.
