**When the zoom speed is too fast (approximately 2 seconds end-to-end), the camcorder will have more trouble focusing automatically while zooming.

To set the wireless controller's zoom speed

For the wireless controller, first set the overall zoom speed to one of three levels. The wireless controller operates at a constant speed so select the speed. Refer to the following table for a summary of the zoom speed.

1Open the zoom speed level screen.

Using the Touch Screen’s Zoom Controls

1Display the zoom controls on the touch screen. [FUNC.] [ZOOM]

• The zoom controls appear on the left side of the screen.

2Touch the zoom controls to operate the zoom.

•Touch anywhere within the Qarea to zoom out or anywhere within the Parea to zoom in. Touch closer to the center for a slow zoom; touch closer to the e/dicons for faster zooms.

3 Touch [a] to hide the zoom controls.
