Additional Protocol Settings

This section describes two additional protocols supported for this machine: HTTP (HyperText Transfer Protocol) and SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol).

HTTP

The HTTP allows you to communicate between your computer and the machine via a web interface (i.e., Remote UI).

Before you use the Remote UI, follow the procedure below to activate HTTP on the machine from the <NETWORK SETTINGS> menu.

3 Press [(-)] or [(+)] to select <LAN SETTINGS> ➞ press [Set].

4 Press [(-)] or [(+)] to select <USE HTTP> ➞ press [Set].

5 Press [(-)] or [(+)] to select <ON> ➞ press [Set].

6 Specify the HTTP port number (default: 80) using the numeric keys ➞ press [Set].

7 Press [Stop/Reset] to return to the standby display.
