Functions you can assign to the control ring vary depending on shooting mode, and those assignments determine which functions you can assign to the control dial.

y Manual focusing is possible (=182).

y White balance can be corrected (=174).

y Step zooming is possible (=106).

@y i-Contrast can be set (=172).

y The aspect ratio can be changed (=123).

Functions can be assigned as desired (=208).

Av: aperture value (=203); Tv: shutter speed (=202);

ISO: ISO speed (=169); +/–: exposure compensation (=166); MF: manual focus (=182).

When you assign [ ], [], [ ], [@], or [ ] to the <y> ring, the functions you

can assign to the <7> dial are the same as for [ ].

* Tv and Av settings can be toggled by pressing the <o> button.

Icons labeled with [] indicate that the function is not available in the current shooting mode or under current function conditions.

The <y> ring can be used for step zooming in <A>, <K>, or movie mode (=106).
