Adjusting the Flash Output

In Dmode, you can choose 3 levels of flash output.

Set the mode dial to D.

Choose Flash Output.

After pressing the mbutton, press the op buttons to choose ~.

Make the setting.

Press the qrbuttons or turn the Âdial to

choose the amount of Flash Output, then press the mbutton.

XOnce set, ~will appear on the screen.

You can also set the flash output. Press the n button and choose [Flash Settings] (p. 93) from the 4tab. Then choose [Flash Output] and press the qrbuttons to choose a setting.

In Mand B modes, you can set the flash output if you press the n button and choose the 4tab, then choose [Flash Settings] and set the [Flash Mode] option to [Manual].

With the flash raised, if you press the rbutton and immediately press the n button, the setting screen will appear.

Checking for Shut Eyes

When the camera detects the possibility that people have their eyes shut, appears.

Choose [Blink Detection].

Press the nbutton, then choose [Blink Detection] in the 4tab. Press the qrbuttons to choose [On].

Shoot.

XWhen a person with shut eyes is detected, a frame and appear.

In or $, when the number of shots is set to two or more, this function is only available for the last image shot.
