Wooden Structure:
Installhanging bolts on a squarewooden piece placed over beam s.
NewlyBuilt Concrete Slab:
Installhanging bolts withinserts, embeddedbolts, etc.
Metal Structure:
Install hanging bolts utilizing an existing angle or by installing a
newsupport angle.
Previously Built Concrete Slab:
Installhanging bolts withexpansion anchor.

c. Drill holesfor routing refrigerantlines, condensateline
and electrical and control connections.
d. Lift the unit into place,and fit the h ex--headbolts o n
sidesof indoor unit into mounting slotsof mounting
brackets.Ensure unit ismounted with a slight tilt to the
rearsid e for proper drainage.
e. Tightenindoor unit hex--headbolts securely.
INSTALL OUTDOOR UNIT
The outdoor unitscan be installed on the ground,on the roof, or
mountedon a wall.
NOTE: Install the unit so that the coil does not face into
prevailing winds. If this is not po ssible and constant wind winds
above 25 mph are expected, use accessory wind baffle. See
installation instructions provided with accesso ry kit. Wind baffles
should also be used on all units with accessory low ambient
temperaturecontrol.

Mounting on Ground

1. Mount unit on a solid levelconcrete pad.
2. If a heat pump is being installed,use a field--provided snow
standor ice rack whereprolonged subfreezing temperatures
orheavy snow occurs.
3. Position unit so water o rice fro m roof does not fall directly
ontounit.
4. On cooling only units, an accessory stacking k itcan be used
when units are to be stacked. See installation instructio ns
provided with the accessory kit.

1. Rig the unit.Keep the unit upright and lift using asling.
Usecardboard or padding under the sling, and spreaderbars
to prevent sling damage to the un it. See Fig 15. See Fig. 2
through Fig. 5 for center of gravity reference
