11. Close thermostat assembly makingsure pins on back of circuit board
align with sockets in connector.
12. Turn ON powerto unit.
When power isapplied, all display icons are litfor 2 seconds to test the display.
Following this, the equipment type for which the thermostat is configured is
displayedfor an additional2 seconds.It will be one of PH or PC (if HP, AC, H or C
is displayed, the thermostat is configured incorrectly to operate a PTAC). See
explanationunder Step 3, Option 01 below.A heat pump thermostat, configuredto
operate a HeatCool unit (see Option 1 below), will display PC. A HeatCool
thermostatcannot be configuredto operate a HeatPump unit.
NOTE: If a common wire has not been con nected, two AA batteries must be
usedto power the thermostat.
Step3 — Set Thermostat Configuration
Configurationoptions enable the installerto configure the thermostatfor a particular
installation. These must be set correctly to insu re proper PTAC operation. Follow ing
is a listof the options available, an explanationof their function, and their factory
defaultsettings.
