TROUBLE SHOOTING YOUR THERMOSTATWhat if...
Thebattery icon is displayed
The battery icon appearson the display only when the battery startsto lose
power. Replaceit when one--third of the icon is black. If your thermostatis
batterypowered and you wait until the icon is justa silhouette with no black
bars, you will slowly lose thermostat fun ctions until it doesn’t work at all.
“Auxheat on” is displayed (heat pump systemsonly)
Aux heat on is auxiliary heat. It applies only to the heat pump version .W hen it is
displayed,it means the unit is heating with the electricheater. This canhappen
manually by setting the mode to Em Heat or automatically, if the unit can n ot
keepup with demand running in heatpump mode.
Thereisapoweroutage
Ify ou lose electricity and have batteries installed, the thermostat will continue to
display the indoortemperature because it has a battery backup power sou rce.
Thismeans that eventhough your heating andcooling system doesn’twork, you
will still be able to monitor the room temp erature.
NOTE: With or withoutbatteries, any previouschanges to the settings will be
savedwhen there is a power outage.
MyHeat Pump unit is operatingin cooling when it should be heating
Most likely,the reversing valve is setupwrong in the advanced configuration.
Checkreversing valve optionabove in the configurationsetup.
MyThermostat does not show roomtemperature
Thereis an option in the advanced configurationsetup to display set pointand
roomtemperature. Checkthe configuration setupabove.
