4BALANCED INPUTS:

*Accepts right-channel and left-channel balanced signals from the associated preamplifier with balanced outputs.

*The pin assignments of these XLR-type female input are:

Pin 1: Signal ground

Pin 2: Signal + (non-inverting)

3Pin 3: Signal - (inverting)

Connector ground lug: chassis ground

Refer to the operating manuals of your balanced-output preamplifier

to verify that the pin assignments of their output connectors correspond to the A 306. If not, wire the cable so that the appropriate input pin connects to the equivalent output pin.

5SINGLE-ENDED INPUTS:

*Accepts right-channel and left-channel (RCA) inputs from preamplifier. These signals are converted to balanced signals upon entering the chassis and processed as balanced signals thereafter. One pair RCA connector is available.

6INPUT SWITCH:

*Use this switch to select the input use the BALANCED inputs or SINGLE-ENDED inputs.
