Using the Action Menu

2-8 Using the Action Menu

The [Action] menu helps to make transformation and expansion functions, calculus functions, statistical functions, and other frequently used mathematical menu operations easier to use. Simply select the function you want, and then enter expressions or variables in accordance with the syntax of the function.

Tip

Unless specifically indicated otherwise, all of the explanations in this section are performed using the following modes: Algebra mode, Standard mode, Complex mode, Radian mode, Descending Order.

You can use the [Interactive] menu to select most of the commands that are included on the [Action] menu. Selecting a command on the [Action] menu will simply input the function for that command. With the [Interactive] menu selecting a command will display a dialog box that prompts for input of the command’s arguments (when necessary). This means that the [Interactive] menu eliminates the need to remember details about the syntax of a function. For details about using the [Interactive] menu, see page 2-9-1.
