The metering mode determines what part of the subject is metered for exposure.

•The currently selected metering mode is indicated by an icon on the snapshot screen. No icon is displayed when “B Multi” is selected as the metering mode.
Optimizing Image Brightness (Lighting)Procedure

You can use this setting to optimize the balance between bright areas and dark areas when shooting images.
Performs a higher level of brightness correction than the “On” setting.
Extra When this option is selected, it takes longer for the image to be stored after the shutter button is pressed.
On Performs brightness correction.
Off Does not perform brightness correction.
