Fuses & CircuitBreakers

The wiringcircuits in your vehicleare protected fromshort circuits by a combination of fuses, circuitbreakers, and fusible thermal links in the wiring itself. This greatly reducesthe chance of damage causedby electrical problems.

The fuse panelis located under the lower left sideof the instrument panel.

To identify and check fuses, refer to the Fuse Usage chart.

Look at thesilver-colored band inside the fuse.If the band is brokenor melted, replacethe fuse. Be sure you replace a bad fuse witha new one of the identical sizeand rating.
