2.If an appliance begins to operate abnormally, becomes sluggish or stops suddenly, turn it off immediately. Disconnect the appliance, and determine whether the problem is the appliance, or if the rated load capacity of the generator has been exceeded.

3.Make sure that the electrical rating of the tool or appliance does not exceed that of the generator. Never exceed the maximum power rating of the generator. Power levels between rated and maximum may be used for no more than 30 minutes.

4.Substantial overloading will open the circuit breaker. Exceeding the time limit for maximum power operation or slightly overloading the generator may not switch the circuit breaker or circuit protector OFF, but will shorten the service life of the generator.

Service

1.Tool service must be performed only by qualified repair personnel. Service or maintenance performed by unqualified personnel could result in a risk of injury.

2.When servicing a tool, use only identical replacement parts. Follow instructions in the “Inspection, Maintenance, And Cleaning” section of this manual. Use of unauthorized parts or failure to follow maintenance instructions may create a risk of injury.

SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES

1.IMPORTANT! Your Warranty is voided if:

You do not put engine oil in the Engine’s crankcase prior to its first use.

Before each use, check the oil level. Never run the Engine with low or no engine oil. Running the Engine with low or no Engine oil will permanently damage the Engine.

2.Maintain labels and nameplates on the Generator. These carry important information. If unreadable or missing, contact Harbor Freight Tools for a replacement.

3.Maintain a safe working environment. Make sure there is adequate surrounding workspace.

4.Avoid unintentional starting. Make sure you are prepared to begin work before turning on the Generator.

5.People with pacemakers should consult their physician(s) before use.

Electromagnetic fields in close proximity to a heart pacemaker could cause pacemaker interference or pacemaker failure. Caution is necessary when near the Engine’s magneto or recoil starter.
