Advarsel En konstruksjonsfeil kan ha innvirkning på et mindre antall vekselstrømsaggregater av modell Catalyst 5500 levert som reservedeler og vekselstrømsaggregater som ble levert sammen med chassis mellom desember 1996 og desember 1997. Hvis disse aggregatene ikke blir behandlet med varsomhet, er det en viss risiko for mildt elektrisk støt. Vi mener at risikoen forbundet med denne konstruksjonsfeilen er ubetydelig og at den nåværende konstruksjonen er sikker, såfremt apparatet blir behandlet på riktig måte. Bruk følgende fremgangsmåte for å koble fra vekselstrømskilden på sikkert vis.

Produsenten av aggregatet har, i samarbeid med teknikere fra Cisco, endret designen for å utbedre feilen. Videre vil vi kostnadsfritt bytte ut ethvert vekselstrømsaggregat for de kundene som måtte ønske dette. Pensamos que o design actual é seguro, desde que a fonte de alimentação seja manuseada correctamente. Utilize o seguinte procedimento para retirar a fonte de alimentação de CA com segurança.

O fabricante das fontes de alimentação, assistido tecnicamente pela Cisco, implementou uma alteração no design, de forma a corrigir o problema. Para além disso, substituiremos fontes de alimentação de AC a pedido de qualquer cliente, sem qualquer custo adicional.
