Task 3: Plan and Execute Hard Drive Partitioning
By default, the Cisco EMF software is installed with the ObjectStore database configured for standard
UNIX cooked partitions (partitions with readable directory structures). However, we recommend using
raw partitions (partitions without a readable directory structure) for the database drives for larger
networks because they offer these advantages over cooked partitions:
•The capability of having databases over 2 GB in size
•The ability to store database files across multiple drives
