TurningYourInverter On orOff
Besure to have your power inverterproperly installedbefore
attemptingto turn the unit on (see installation page 6).
Toturn thepower inverteron:
1.If a DC power supply is being used as the power
source,switch it on.
2. Onthe left side panel, switch the On/Off Switchto on.
Theinverter is now ready to deliverAC power to your loads.
Ifseveral loads are to be operated by the inverter, turn
themon separately, after the inverter has been turned on.
Thiswill ensure that the inverter does not have to deliver
thestarting currents required for all the loads at once.
Toturn thepower inverteroff:
1. Onthe left side panel, switch the On/Off Switchto off.
NOTEThe On/Off Switchturns the control circuit
inthe inverter on and off. It does not disconnect
powerfrom the inverter.
Whenthe switch is in the off position, the inverter
drawsno current from the battery. When it’s in the
onposition, but no power is beingsupplied to the
load, the inverter draws lessthan 500 milliamperes
fromthe battery. This is low current draw. It would
takemore than a week to discharge a 100 ampere-
hourbattery at this rate depending on the age of
thebattery.
RemoteOn /Off Switch(not included)
Anoptional Remote On/Off Switch (not included) can be
connectedto the Remote Jack allowing you to turn the
Cobrapowerinverteron or off from a convenientlocation
whenthe inverter is installed in an out of reach location.
