Upgrading the Fi rmware
From time to time, COBY may relea se rmwar e upgrad es to improve the
performance of the MP-C833 or to add additional features. Please ch eck
the COBY website perio dically at ww w.cobyusa.com to see if new r mware
has been released for you r player. If you are exp eriencing abnor mal behav-
ior with your play er, you may c hoose to re store (format) your player before
updating its rmware.
Do not interrupt the rmwa re u pgrade process — doing so
could damage your player and render i t inoperable.
See the document ation that is includ ed with the rmwar e up-
grade le for detailed instruc tions.
Connect your player to the comput er.
Download the latest rmware for your pla yer from www.c obyusa.com.
Save this le to the computer.
Double-click the downloa ded le (you may need a le compres sion utility
installed on your computer). In the win dow that appears, doub le-click the
le “factory4.exe” to star t the upgrade utilit y.
Follow the on-screen instr uctions to start t he upgrade proces s.
When the u pgrade i s comple te, disco nnect you r player from the c om-
puter.
Turn on your player to complete the rmwa re upgrade proces s.
