BATTERY REMOVAL, PREPARATION FOR RECYCLING

TO REMOVE:

MOTOR HOUSING

Lock switch trigger by placing the forward/reverse switch in center position. See Figure 4.

Remove cover securing batteries by depressing and pushing cover in the direction of the arrow as shown in figure 8.

Slide batteries from motor housing enough to expose leads and battery terminals. Disconnect leads from battery terminals.

Note: Be careful not to break battery terminals when disconnecting leads.

_. WARNING: Upon removal, cover the battery's terminals with heavy dutyadhesive tape. Do not

attempt to destroy or disassemble battery or remove any of its components. Nickel-cadmium batteries must be recycled or disposed of properly. Also, never touch both terminals with metal objects and/or body parts as short circuit

may result. Keep away from children. Failure to comply with these warnings could result in fire

and/or serious injury.
