INSTALLING BITS

Lock the switchtrigger by placing the direction of
rotation selector in center position. See Figure2.
Open orclose chuckjaws toa pointwhere the
opening is slightly largerthan the bit size you
intend to use. Also, raise the front of your drill
slightlyto keep the bit from fallingout of the chuck
jaws.
Insertdrill bit into chuck the fulllength of the jaws
as shown in Figure 6.
Tighten the chuckjaws on drill bit.

,_ WARNING: Do not insert drill bitinto chuck
jaws and tighten as shown infigure 7. This could
cause drill bit to bethrown from drill resulting in
possiblesedous personal injuryor damage tothe
chuck.

To tighten the chuck jaws on drill bit;grasp and
hold the collarof the chuck with one hand, while
rotating the chuckbody with yourother hand.
Note: Rotate thechuck bodyin the directionof
the arrow marked LOCK to tighten chuck jaws.
Do not use a wrenchto tighten or loosen the
chuck jaws.
REMOVING BITS

Lockthe switchtrigger by placing the direction of

Loosen the chuckjaws from drill bit.
To loosen: grasp and hold the collar of the chuck
with one hand, while rotating chuck bodywith your
otherhand. Note: Rotate chuck body in the direc-
tion of the arrow marked UNLOCK to loosen chuck
jaws.
Do not use a wrench totighten or loosen the chuck
jaws.
Remove drill bit from chuck jaws.
