CHARGING YOUR TRIM SAW
The battery packfor th!s tool has been shipped ina
low charge condition to prevent possible problems.
Therefore, you should charge it until light on front of
charger changes from red to green.
Note: Batteries will not reach full charge thefirst time
they are charged. Allow several cycles (cutting
followed byrecharging) for them to become fully
charged.
TO CHARGE
Charge battery pack only withthe charger
provided.
Make sure power supply Is normal house
voltage, 120 volts, 60 Hz, AC only.
Connect charger to power supply.
Place battery pack in charger aligning raised rib in
charger with groove inbattery pack.
Press down on batterypack to be sure contacts on
battery pack engage properlywith charger
contacts.
Normally, the yellow and green lights on charger
willcome on. This indicates charger is insoft start
mode and shouldswitch to fast chargemode within
5 minutes. Whencharger is in fast charge mode
the red lightwill come on. If aftera period of 15
minutesthe yellow and green lightsremain on,
remove battery pack, wait 1minute and reinsert
battery pack in charger. If the yellow andgreen
lightscontinue to remain on after an additional 15
minutes, the battery pack isdamaged and will not
accept acharge. Return battery pack to your
nearest Sears Repair Center for checking or
replacing.
When your battery packbecomes fully charged, the
red lightwill turn OFF and the green light willturn
ON.
After normal usage, 1 hour of charging timeis
required to be fullycharged. A minimum charge
time of 1-1/2 hoursis required torecharge a
completely discharged tool•
The battery packwill become slightlywarm tothe
touch while charging. This isnormal and does not
indicatea problem.

Do not place charger in an area of extreme heat or
cold. Itwill work bestat normal room temperature,

hightemperature batteries to help prevent battery
damage when lefton charge for extended periods
oftime. However,once the batteries become fully
charged, we recommend that you unplugyour
charger from power supply and remove the
b4?tterypack.
