INTERLOCKS AND RELAYS

Loose or damaged wiring may cause your tractor to run poorly, stop running, or prevent it from starting.

Check wiring. See electrical wiring diagram in the Repair Parts section.

TO REPLACE FUSE

Replace with 15 amp automotive-type

plug-in fuse, The fuse holder is located behind the dash.

TO REMOVE HOOD AND GRILL ASSEMBLY

Raise hood.

Unsnap headlight wire connector.

Stand in front of tractor. Grasp hood at sides, tilt toward engine and lift off of tractor.

To replace, reverse above procedure.

Headlight Wire

With engine not running, move choke control (located on dash panel) to full choke position.

Loosen knob and remove cover assembly from air cleaner.

Choke should be closed. If it is not, loosen casing clamp screw and move choke cable until choke is completely closed. Tighten casing clamp screw securely.

Replace air cleaner cover assembly and tighten knob.

TO ADJUST CARBURETOR

Your carburetor is not adjustable. If your engine does not operate properly due to suspected carburetor problems, take your tractor to an authorized service center for repair and/or adjustment.

High speed stop is factory adjusted. Do not adjust - damage may result. IMPORTANT: Never tamper with the engine governor, which is factory set for proper engine speed. Overspeeding the engine above the factory high speed setting can be dangerous. If you think the engine-governedhigh speed needs adjusting, contact your nearest autho- rized service center/department, which has proper equipment and experience to make any necessary adjustments.

ENGINE

TO ADJUST THROTTLE CONTROL CABLE

The throttle control has been preset at the factory and adjustment should not be necessary. Check adjustment as described below before loosening cable.

If adjustment is necessary, proceed as follows:

With engine not running, move throttle control lever to fast position.

Check that swivel is against stop. If it is not, loosen cable clamp screw and pull cable back until swivel is against

stop. Tighten cable clamp screw securely.

TO ADJUST CHOKE CONTROL

The choke control has been preset at the factory and adjustment should not be necessary. Check adjustment as described below before loosening cable. If adjustment is necessary, proceed as
