Using a Booster Battery

WARNING

Avoid personal injury:

NEVER attempt to jump-start a frozen battery. Warm it to 60°F (16°C).

NEVER connect the negative (–) booster cable to the negative (–) terminal of the discharged battery. Connect to an appropriate grounding point other than the discharged battery.

1.Connect the positive (+) booster cable to the positive

(+)post on the booster battery.

2.Connect the other end of positive (+) booster cable to the positive (+) post of the battery on the disabled vehicle.

3.Connect the negative (–) booster cable to the negative

(–) post on the booster battery.

4.Connect the other end of negative (–) booster cable to the metal frame of the disabled vehicle.

5.Start the engine of the disabled vehicle, and run the engine for several minutes.

6.Carefully disconnect the booster cables by performing the booster cables connection procedure in the reverse order (disconnect the negative cable first, and then the positive cable).
