3.2.4. Temperature and absolute air pressure

Temperature and absolute air pressure is one of the three shortcuts that can be seen on the bottom row of the Time mode’s main display. Short press SET to scroll to the Temperature and absolute air pressure shortcut. When it is visible, you can access its functions by long pressing SET. Here is a list of the functions and instructions on how to use them.

Altitude

You can use this setting to define the current altitude. Suunto X3HR uses the set alti- tude as a benchmark for the altitude changes measured from the air pressure changes.

To set the altitude:

1. In the function menu, Altitude is already the first menu item. Short press SET to select it. The current altitude on the middle row is activated.

2. Set the new altitude (-500 m to 9000m/-1500 to 29995ft) with the arrow buttons and short press SET. The Altitude text on the bottom row is activated. Now you can either

4.or scroll to the next selection with the arrows.

NOTE: Suunto X3HR measures the altitude from the barometric pressure. If it dis- plays different altitude readings at the same location on different days, this means that the barometric pressure has changed due to weather. To receive correct altitude readings, always set the reference altitude when the weather changes considerably.
