Removing the Heat-Sink Fan

1.Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer.

2.Remove the:

a)battery

b)base cover

c)memory

d)optical drive

e)hard drive

f)keyboard

g)palmrest

h)WLAN card

3.Disconnect the heat-sink fan cable from the system board. Lift the fan upwards and away from the computer.

Installing the Heat-Sink Fan

1.Place the heat-sink fan on the system board.

2.Connect the fan cable to the system board.

3.Install the:

a)WLAN card

b)palmrest

c)keyboard

d)hard drive

e)optical drive

f)memory

g)base cover

h)battery
