Ingrédients :

6 oeufs, légèrement battus 3/4 tasse de jus d'orange

1/2 tasse de crème épaisse ou moitié-moitié 2 cuillères à soupe de sucre

3/4 cuillère à thé d’extrait de vanille

1/2 cuillère à thé de pelure d'orange râpée 8 tranches épaisses de pain à la cannelle 1/4 tasse de beurre fondu

Préparation :

1. Préchauffez l’appareil.

2. Dans un grand bol, battez les 6 premiers ingrédients.

3. Placez les tranches de pain, une par une, dans le bol ou l’assiette et laissez les tranches absorber le mélange d'oeufs pendant quelques secondes puis tournez le pain avec soin pour enduire l'autre côté. Préparez seulement le nombre de tranches que vous ferez cuire en même temps. Arrosez avec du beurre.

4. Placez 2 tranches de pain côte à côte sur l’appareil.

5. Fermer le couvercle et verrouillez la poignée en place.

6. Faites cuire le pain pendant environ 3 minutes ou jusqu'à ce que le pain soir doré.

7. Soulevez le couvercle. Quand le pain est complètement cuit, retirez avec soin la nourriture de l’appareil.

8. Servez le pain doré chaud.
