If a portable player is connected via the PORTABLE IN jack of the unit, music from the portable player can be played.

Connecting a control dock for iPod

Connect a control dock for iPod to the unit to enjoy video and music stored on an iPod.

For a control dock for iPod, use ASD-11R, ASD-3N, ASD-3W, ASD-51N and ASD-51W made by DENON (sold separately).

For instructions on the control dock for iPod settings, refer to the control dock for iPod’s operating instructions.

Set this to change the digital input connector to which the input source is assigned. “Input Assign” (vpage 33)

NOTE

When connecting an iPhone to this unit, keep the iPhone at least 20 cm away from this unit. If the iPhone is kept closer to this unit and a telephone call is received by the iPhone, noise may be output from this device.

Video images on an iPod cannot be output from the HDMI MONITOR output connector of this unit. To play the video images on an iPod, in addition to using an HDMI connection, connect a TV to the VIDEO MONITOR output connector of this unit. Also, switch the input setting of the TV to “Video”.
