3.Marque la ubicación de los tornillos a través de las ranuras de los soportes de montaje.

4.Quite los soportes de montaje y perfore un orificio de 3 mm (1/8 de pulgada) en cada marca a través de la cavidad de la chimenea.

5.Utilice los tornillos autorroscantes para sujetar los soportes en la cavidad de la chimenea (consulte la figura 12, en la página 7).

6.Deslice la cubierta sobre los soportes de montaje (consulte la figura 12, página 7).

Instalación en la abertura de una chimenea manufacturada

1.Deseche los soportes de montaje.

2.Ponga la cubierta en el interior de la abertura de la chimenea como se muestra en la figura 13.

3.Sujete la cubierta y perfore cuatro orificios que atraviesen la cubierta y el canal de la abertura de la chimenea (consulte la figura 14). Revise que los orificios estén a la misma distancia y que cubran la mayor parte de longitud de la cubierta.

4.Utilice los tornillos autorroscantes para fijar la cubierta en la abertura de la chimenea.

ADVERTENCIA: la cubierta de chimenea se calienta en ex- ceso cuando la chimenea está en uso. No toque la cubierta de la chimenea. Pueden producirse quemaduras graves.

IMPORTANTE: antes de hacer funcionar la chi- menea quite toda la cinta que utilizó al instalar la cubierta de chimenea.
