Thermostat Control Operation

The thermostat control setting on the remote control unit can be set to any comfort level between HI and LO. The burners will turn on and off automati- cally to maintain the comfort level you select. The ideal comfort setting will vary by household depending upon the amount of space to be heated, the output of the central heating system, etc.

NOTICE: You must light the pilot before using the hand-held re- mote control unit. See Lighting Instructions on page 16.

After lighting, let pilot flame burn for about one minute. Turn control knob to ON position. Adjust flame adjustment knob anywhere between HI and LO. Slide thee selector switch to the REMOTE po- sition. Note: The burners may light if hand-held remote ON button was on when selector switch was last turned off. You can now turn the burners on and off with the hand-held remote control unit. Fol- low the instructions supplied with the remote control for additional features.

IMPORTANT: Do not leave the selector switch in the REMOTE position when the pilot is not lit. This will drain the battery.
