Do not operate this appliance where ex-

open flame may be blown outside of the

 

appliance area. This could burn adults

Locate gas hose away from areas where

 

people may trip over it or where it could

 

be accidentally damaged.

Check gas hose before each use. If hose

 

shows excessive wear or damage, re-

 

place hose assembly before operating

 

appliance. See Cleaning and Mainte-

 

nance on page 10 for how to inspect

 

inlet hose. Use only the replacement

 

hose listed in this manual.

aged, replace burner before operating

 

appliance. Use only the replacement

23.Do not allow water to contact the lava rock or logs. Water from rain, sprin- klers, toys, horseplay, etc. can damage lava rock and logs. When heated, they may crack, break, or even explode. This could cause severe injury.

24.Do not leave appliance unattended while in operation.

25.Do not operate this product around in- toxicated people. They could injure themselves or others when using this product.

26.Turn off gas at gas supply when this appliance is not in use.

27.Use protective cover (included) when appliance is not in use. Make sure ap- pliance is cool before using cover.

28.Turn appliance off and let cool before servicing or repairing.

29.Use only original replacement parts. This appliance must use design-specific parts. Do not substitute or use generic parts. Improper replacement parts could cause serious or fatal injuries.

ter. Immediately call a qualified service

 

technician to inspect the appliance and

 

to replace any part of the control sys-

 

tem and any gas control which has been

 

under water.
