2Press or to select Time, then press . The Time menu opens.

3Press to highlight Time Zone, then press or to select your time zone. Options include Atlantic, Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific, Alaska, and Hawaii.

4If your area observes daylight saving time, press or to highlight Daylight Saving Time, then press or to select On.

The last line of the menu shows the current time. If the time indicated is incorrect, review your settings and make changes as necessary.

Setting the sleep timer

The sleep timer lets you set a time interval that your TV remains on, then turns itself off automatically.

To set the sleep timer:

1Press MENU. The Picture menu opens.

2Press or to select Time, then press . The Time menu opens.

3Press to highlight Sleep Timer, then press or to select the time that your TV remains on before turning itself off automatically. Set this to Off to turn the sleep timer off.

Note: You can also set the sleep timer by pressing SLEEP on the remote

Setting up parental controls

Your TV is equipped with a parental lock feature, which lets parents control the TV programs that their children are permitted to watch. The parental lock reads the ratings for the programs that your TV receives (except for news, sports, unedited movies on premium channels, and Emergency System signals), then blocks programs that exceed the limits that you set.

To use parental controls, you first need to set a password.

To set a password:

1Press MENU. The Picture menu opens.

2Press or to select Lock, then press . The Enter Password screen opens.

3Press the number buttons (0-9) to enter the password (the default password set by the factory is “0000”). The Lock menu opens.
