EElectro-Voice® has been at the forefront of wireless

microphone technology since the advent of the MS-1000 and DNX™

audio processing in 1989. In the ‘90s EV invented the first scanning

wireless, EV® NRU, and in 2002 EV® reinvented wireless with the

professional RE-1, currently on tour with Zakk Wylde, Gretchen Wilson, the

Reverend Al Green, Parliment, Static-X, and Megadeth, to name just a few.

Since its inception, the RE-1 has been applauded by numerous bands,

performers and sound engineers as a complete wireless solution –

combining outstanding sound, simple set-up, and roadworthy

construction. Now Electro-Voice establishes a whole new paradigm in

professional wireless.

Designing a new EV wireless system proved a daunting task to even the

most experienced engineers on the EV team. EV had already proven that

it had created a superior product in the RE-1, so creating a product that

was sonically superior was a tall order. However, EV’s engineers took

into account the wish lists from several of today’s top FOH engineers—as

well as customers from all walks of pro audio—and emerged with an

improvement to the RE-1. The result? Perhaps the best sounding and

most roadworthy professional wireless created in the industry to date.

EV’s new REV professional wireless system offers an array of new and

different features from its predecessor the RE-1. REV’s optimized analog

audio path was developed to provide the truest representation of a wired

microphone sound possible in a wireless system. In addition, REV-Link™

PC software enables remote monitoring, control and programming over

a CAN bus connection through an EV UCC-1 converter or EV Netmax

N8000 controller.

Electro-Voice, a longstanding leader in audio technology, has crafted the N/DYM 767a and N/DYM 967 microphones, blending advanced features with superior sound quality. These microphones are celebrated for their robust construction and innovative design, making them ideal choices for live performances, studio recordings, and broadcast applications.

The N/DYM 767a is renowned for its exceptional vocal clarity and feedback rejection. Utilizing a dynamic microphone design with a Neodymium magnet, the 767a delivers a high output level and remarkable sensitivity. Its tailored frequency response, designed to enhance vocal presence, allows for smooth mid-range reproduction and crisp high frequencies. This makes the microphone particularly effective for capturing nuanced vocal performances in various settings, from solo acts to full bands. The cardioid pickup pattern also contributes to its effectiveness in isolating the vocal source while rejecting ambient noise, making it less prone to feedback in loud environments.

On the other hand, the N/DYM 967 takes versatility a step further with its innovative design tailored for both vocals and various instrumental applications. This microphone features a dual-voice coil design, allowing it to capture a wider dynamic range, thus making it suitable for both soft and loud performances. Like the 767a, the 967 employs a Neodymium magnet, ensuring a high output level. The supercardioid pickup pattern effectively increases gain before feedback, offering even greater isolation from unwanted noise.

Both microphones showcase rugged construction, designed to withstand the rigors of live performance. The all-metal housing is not only durable but also helps reduce handling noise, ensuring that the focus remains on the sound rather than on mechanical interference. Additionally, the low handling noise and built-in pop filter enhance their usability, catering to everything from quiet ballads to high-energy rock anthems.

One of the standout features of both models is their ability to maintain consistent sound quality in varying environments. This is due to their high-quality wind and plosive filtering, aiding in the delivery of clear vocals without the unwanted disturbances that can occur with other microphones.

In summary, the Electro-Voice N/DYM 767a and N/DYM 967 microphones exemplify precision engineering and user-centric design. They cater to the needs of musicians and audio professionals who seek reliability and excellence in sound reproduction, truly embodying Electro-Voice's commitment to audio innovation.
