When using electrical appliance s basic safety precautions should be followed, including the following:

to excessive microwave energy:

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

1. Read all instru ctions before using t he appli-
ance.
2. Read and follow the specific “PRECAUTIONS TO
AVOID POSSIBLE EXPOSURE TO EXCESSIVE
MICROWAVE ENERGY” on page 2.
3. This appliance must be grounded. Connect only
to pr operly grounded outlet. See “G rounding
Instructions” on page 6.
4. Install or locate this appliance only in accordance
with the provided installation instructions.
5. Some products such as whole eggs and sealed
containers—for example, closed glass jars—are
able to explode and sh ould not be he ated in
this oven.
6. Use this applian ce only for its intended use as
described in this manual. Do not use corros ive
chemicals or vapors in this appliance. This type
of oven is specifica lly design ed to heat, cook
or dry fo od. It is not de signed for i ndustrial or
laborato ry use.
7. As wi th an y app liance, close supe rvision is
necessary when used by childre n.
8. Do not operate this appliance if it has a damaged
cord or plug, if it is not working properly or if it
has been damaged or dropped.
9. This appli ance shoul d be se rviced on ly b y
qualified serv ice pe rsonnel. Contact nearest
Electrolux Authorized Servic er for examination,
repair or adjustment.
10. Do no t cove r or block any openin gs o n the
appliance.
11. Do not store or use this appliance outdoors. Do
not use this product near water—for example,
near a kitchen sink, in a wet basement, near a
swimming pool, or similar locations.
12. Do not immerse cord or plug in water.
13. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
14. Do no t let cor d ha ng ove r ed ge of tab le or
counter.

16. To reduce the risk of fire in the oven cavity:
a. D o n ot overc ook food . C aref ully at tend
to a ppliance when paper, p lastic or oth er
combustible mater ials are placed inside the
oven to facilitate cookin g.
b. Re move wire twist-ties from paper or plast ic
bags before placing bag in oven.
c. If materials inside the oven ignit e, keep oven
door closed, turn oven off and disconnect the
power cord o r shut off power at the fuse or
circuit breaker pan el.
d. Do not use the cavity for storage purposes. Do
not leave paper produ cts, cooking utensils or
food in the cavity when not in use.
17. Liquids, such as water, coffee or tea are able to
be overheated beyond the boiling point without
appear ing to be boi ling. Visible bub bling or
boiling whe n the cont ainer is removed from
the Microw ave O ven is n ot a lways prese nt.
THIS COULD RESULT IN VERY HOT LIQ UIDS
SUDDENLY BOILING OVER WHEN A SPOON
OR OTHER UTENSIL IS INSERTED I NTO THE
LIQUID.
To reduce the risk of injury to persons:
a. Do not overheat the liquid.
b. Sti r the liqui d bot h be fore a nd h alfway through
heating it.
c. Do not use straight-si ded containe rs with narrow
necks. Use a wide-mouthed container
.
d. After heating, allow the containe r to stand i n the
Microwave Oven at least for 20 secon ds bef ore
removing the container.
e. Use extreme care when inserting a spoon or other
utensil into the container.
18. If the oven light fails, consult a Electrolux Autho-
rized Servicer.
