Please carry out the following checks on your appliance before calling for a service engineer.

It may be that the problem is a simple one which you can solve without the expense of a service call. In guarantee customers should make sure tat the checks have been made as an engineer will make a charge if the fault is not a mechanical or electrical breakdown.

The ignition won’t work.

Check there is a spark when the

(Gas and dual fuel models)

ignition button is depressed. If

 

there is no spark, check the

 

electricity supply is switched on at

 

the socket.

 

Check that the gas supply is

 

switched on.

 

Try another appliance in the

 

socket, if that works replace the 3

 

amp fuse in the cooker plug.

 

 

There is condensation on

Condensation is caused by hot,

always prevent it, but you can

 

minimise it when it happens by

 

doing the following:

 

Pre-heat the oven at a high

 

temperature before putting food in

 

the oven, and cover the food you

Whenever you can, cook wet

 

foods at higher temperatures.

 

Do not leave food in the oven to

 

cool down.

 

Automatic cooking will normally

 

produce condensation when the

 

oven is cooling down with food

 

inside.

 

 

There has been a power fail-

Switch off the electricity supply.
