SLEEP Timer
Youcan fall asleep to the radio or CD player and the sleep timer will shut the
systemoff automatically after up to 99 minutes of music.

Sleep To Radio

Setthe function selector switch (CD/FM AUTO/AM)totheFMAUTO or AM position.
Pressthe SLEEP button on the top panel. The SLEEP
indicatorcomes ' 'On ' 'On
''On
andthe radio turns
Selectthe desired station and volume level. The radio will shut off automatically
after30 minutes.To shut off the radio sooner press the SNOOZE button or the
POWERON/OFF button.

Sleep To CD

Setthe function selector switch (CD/FM AUTO/AM )totheCDposition.
Insert a CD in the player. Press the SLEEP
button on the top panel and then press the
PLAY/PAUSE button.The SLEEP and
PLAY/PAUSEindicators come . The CD
beginsto play.
TheCD player will shut off automatically after 30 minutes, or after the last track
hasplayed, whichever comes first.
Toshut off the CD player sooner press the STOP button, the SNOOZE button or
thePOWER ON/OFF button.

Adjusting The Length of The Sleep Timer

Thesleep timer default setting is 30 minutes but it can be adjusted downward or
upwardto a maximum of 99 minutes.
Depressand hold the SLEEP button. The display will
showìL:30î indicating that the power will shut off
after30 minutes.
Toadjust the sleep time continue holding the SLEEP button and depress the SKIP
FWD. orSKIP REV. buttonson the front panel until the display shows the
desiredsleep timer length.
Notes:
1.) When you change the sleep timer setting, your new setting becomes the default
setting.
Forexample if you change the sleep timer setting from 30 minutes to 45 minutes,
eachtime you press the SLEEP button the system will operate for 45 minutes.
(Exception: If you have a power failure and there is no back up battery
installed, or the back up battery is dead, the sleep timer will return to the
original30 minute default setting when the power is restored.)
2.) If the sleep timer is set for 60 minutes but your CD is only 45 minutes long the
playerwill shut off at the end of the disc.
