PREPARATION FOR USE

UNPACKING

Remove the main unit and the speakers from the carton and remove all packing materials from the components.

Remove any descriptive labels from the fronts of the main unit and speakers.

Remove any small strips of tape that may have been used to secure the cassette doors or CD drawer in transit.

TRANSIT SCREW REMOVAL – VERY IMPORTANT ! !

A transit screw has been installed to lock the CD changer in place and prevent damage during transportation. The transit screw must be removed before plugging in or operating your system.

Turn the main unit around so that the back cabinet is facing you. You will see the transit screw at right side of the transit screw warning label.

PLACE THE SCREW IN THIS

STORAGE HOLE FOR FUTURE USE.

IMPORTANT!

BEFORE TURNING POWER ON, USE A COIN OR FLAT-BLADE SCREW DRIVER TO REMOVE THIS SCREW

Use a small coin or a flat blade screwdriver to completely remove the transit screw from the back cabinet. Turn the screw counter-clockwise to loosen and remove. Place the screw in the storage hole provided so that it is available for future use. If it ever becomes necessary to return your unit for service the transit screw should be used to secure the CD changer again before the unit is packed for shipment. Refer to the instructions in the Warranty Service section at the end of this manual.

Note:

Failure to remove the transit screw could result in damage to the CD changer mechanism, and such damage is not covered by your warranty.
