•usingadefaultuseraccount,asdescribedin“UsingaDefaultUserAccount”onpage1‐6,or
•usinganadministratively‐assigneduseraccountasdescribedin“UsinganAdministratively
ConfiguredUserAccount”onpage1‐6.

OncetheD‐SeriesdevicehasavalidIPaddress,youcanestablishaTel netsessionfromanyTCP/
IPbasednodeonthenetwork.Forinformationaboutsettingtheswitch’sIPaddress,referto“set
ipaddress”onpage3 ‐10.
ToestablishaTeln etsession:
1. Telnettotheswitch’sIPaddress.
2. Enterlogin(username)andpasswordinformationinoneofthefollowingways:
–Iftheswitch’sdefaultloginandpasswordsettingshavenotbeenchanged,followthe
stepslistedin“UsingaDefaultUserAccount”onpage1‐6,or
–Enteranadministratively‐configuredusernameandpassword.
