Loading Paper
You can load up to 150 sheets of plain paper in your printer’s sheet feeder, as long as your stack does not come above the arrow on the printer’s left edge guide.
Fan the stack of paper before loading it. Then place your paper against the right edge of the sheet feeder and slide the left edge guide against the paper. (Don’t push the paper deeper into the feeder.) Make sure the paper lies flat against the paper support.

Follow these guidelines when loading paper:
■Fan paper before loading it and make sure it lies flat against the paper support.
■Load the printable side face up. It’s usually whiter or brighter than the other side.
■Always load the short edge first, even when printing in landscape mode.
■Load letterhead or preprinted paper into the printer top edge first.
■Don’t load paper above the arrow on the left edge guide.
■If you experience paper feeding problems, try loading fewer sheets.
