Your computer’s SETUP program is stored in the system BIOS ROM. You can run SETUP whenever you turn on or reset the computer, regardless of whether you have installed an operating system. See Chapter 1 of the Software Guide for instructions on running the program.

The System Configuration utility is on the Reference diskette. See Chapter 2 of the Software Guide for instructions on running this utility.

Installing Your Operating System and Software

Once you have configured your computer with one of the configuration programs, you can install your operating system and any application programs you want to use. Your computer must have an operating system before it can run any software applications. See the manuals that came with your operating system and software applications for instructions on installing and using them.

If you’ll be using the built-in SCSI or LAN controllers, or your built-in VGA display adapter with extended VGA resolutions, you may need to install device drivers to support certain capabilities. See Chapters 5, 6, and 7 of the Software Guide for more information.
