Transporting the Scanner
If you are transporting the scanner a significant distance or storing
it for an extended period, follow the steps below to secure the
carriage.
1. Turn on the scanner and wait unti l the carriage moves to the
home position (position nearest the c over hinges). Then turn
off the scanner.
2. Turn the transportation lock to the lo cke d position to secure
the carriage.
Note:
❏If the scanner is broken, the carriage may not automatically return
to the home position. If it does not, raise the front of t he scanner and
hold it up until the carriage comes to rest in the home position. Then
perform step 2 above.
❏If you are using the Film Adapter and it is swit ched on, the carriage
will not move to the home position. Remove the Film Adapter first,
then perform the steps above.
