Viewing Images with Macintosh

Images recorded with the camera can be edited/printed using a Macintosh with an USB cable and the included software (S-SW2).

Installing the USB driver

The included CD-ROM contains the following software:

-USB driver

-Image viewing software (ACDSeeTM)

System environment

OS:

Mac OS 8.6 or later (QuickTime 4.0 or later required)

CPU:

PowerMac 266MHz or higher

Memory:

8MB or more

Hard disk space: 6MB or more

Standard equipped USB port

To view movie pictures on your Macintosh, QuickTime 4.0 or later pre-installed on system is required.

zTurn on your Macintosh.

xSet the included CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive of your Macintosh.

cCopy the following 2 files to the [Extensions] folder within the System folder.

PENTAX-USB Storage Driver PENTAX-USB Storage Shim (E)

vRestart your Macintosh.

Optio 430 is usable to USB mass storage class. For MacOS X and MacOS 9.x, there is no need to install the USB driver.

Playback/Erasing

Installing ACDSeeTM

When installing ACDSeeTM, recorded images can be viewed on your Macintosh.

zTurn on your Macintosh.

xSet the included CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive of your Macintosh.

cDouble click [English] on the CD-ROM (S-SW2).

vFollow the on-screen guidance and enter the registration information and proceed with the installation.
