Horizontal banding

Try one or more of these solutions:
❏Make sure that the printable side of the pa per is face up in the
sheet feeder.
❏Run the Head Cleaning utility to clear any clogged ink
nozzles. See “Cleaning the Print Head” on page 67.
❏Make sure that the Media Type selected in the Control Panel
is appropriate for the type of media loaded in the printer.
❏Make sure that the position of the adjust lever is appropriate
for the media type. When printing on media of norm al
thickness, set the adjust lever to the “0” position. When
printing on envelopes or thick media, set the position to “+”.
Internal printer parts
need adjustment or
replacement.
Turn the printer off, and after a few
seconds, turn it on again. If the
error is not cleared, contact your
dealer.
The storage media or
PC card is not
compatible with this
printer.
